People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogun Central District in the Senate, Olomaide Aderinokon, has responded to the ruling by the Ibadan Court of Appeal that reinstated him and others as PDP flag bearers in Ogun.
Adirinokon said that the people of Ogun strongly believe in the main opposition party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
While expressing his appreciation to the people of Ogun for their “unwavering support,” the Senate candidate said, “Today’s ruling proves once again that our task to reset Ogun State is greater than any man’s.”
Aderinokun, in conversation with DAILY POST, called the September 27 ruling of the Federal High Court in Abeokuta a suspicious one.
I’ve always believed in the judiciary, despite the compromise we got in September. With an unbiased judicial system and the efforts of you and me, this country will be great.”
“I especially appreciate our packed supporters and all residents in Ogun State for standing by us and showing their faith in the PDP despite being distracted with court cases.
He added: “The people have shown resilience and we will not relent in providing relief to the Ogun Central District in the Senate and Ogun State.”
Meanwhile, PDP supporters across Ogun State on Monday rallied in Abeokuta to celebrate the Court of Appeal ruling.
In a procession, they walked around the old city, singing and dancing.
Our correspondent gathered that similar celebrations were received throughout the country.
The DAILY POST earlier reported that the Court of Appeal overturned the trial court ruling that nullified all PDP primaries in Ogun State.
