The President of the Senate, Senator Orji Ozor Kalu, has denied allegations that the United States denied a visa to progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Allegations that the United States refused Tinubu’s visa were fraudulent, Kalu said, stressing that the latter had postponed his trip to America.
In a Facebook post, Kalu blamed the opposition for spreading false news against Tinubu.
He wrote, “As the election approaches, the opposition will spread more fake news against our presidential candidate, but we should always ignore the ball and keep our eyes on the ball. The news that Tinubu has been denied a visa to the US is as fake as any other fake news.”
Tinubu postponed the travel himself and was not refused a visa. The US State Department has confirmed to me that Tinubu will be received in the third week of December.”
The APC Campaign Council revealed that Tinubu will embark on a foreign trip from 4 December.
Tinubu is set to meet world leaders and showcase his presidential ambition.
He is due to be in London, the United States, France and some European Union member states to sell his presidential ambition to the international community.
