Former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Akwa Ibom State, Uwemedimo Nwoko SAN, said there is no dispute over the status of Reverend Omo Inoue as the true gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in the state on March 11. , 2023 Conservative election.

He stressed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), acting on appeals court orders, restored Inoue’s name to Rev. Inoue on its platform as the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the state.

Speaking at a press conference in Oyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nwoko noted that there are currently no court proceedings filed against Pastor Inoue before them, revealing that the Court of Appeal has issued a final judgment on the matter in relation to the case of Michael Enyong while the Supreme Court has filed the case Regarding the case of Akan Okon.

According to him, “All the cases before the court regarding Omo Inoue’s candidacy, final decisions have been made, and it is again beyond dispute.”

Nook also reiterated his earlier position that Mike EnYoung should present himself to the police for investigation, saying that the restraining order obtained from the court had already expired, as it had remained for seven days.
