Breaking: Terrorists bomb Kogi LG’s offices before the elections
Less than four days before the general elections in February, some unidentified gunmen attacked and blew up the administrative offices of the Okihi Local Government District of Kogi Prefecture.
The Daily Mail gathered that the incident occurred on Monday night when the attackers stormed the area with some explosives.
When contacted by the DAILY POST, Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer William Ovi Aya confirmed the incident.
According to him, the leadership launched an investigation to uncover the cause of the attack.
Remember, the Islamic State-backed Boko Haram faction, Islamic State West Africa Province, claimed responsibility for a car bomb explosion that killed about four people and injured several others in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State in January.
