Chelsea legend, Gianfranco Zola, has paid tribute to the club’s new signing, Enzo Fernandes.
Zola said Fernandes, who joined Chelsea during the January transfer window, reminded him of former Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Remember, Chelsea secured the signing of Fernandez, the 2022 World Cup winner, in a £106.8m deal from Benfica.
Chelsea’s acquisition of the Argentina international from Benfica made the 22-year-old the British record signing, overtaking Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.
Fernandes has made a solid start to his spell with Chelsea, impressing with his excellent passing range and technical ability in Chelsea’s last two matches.
“I was very impressed with his qualities. His quickness of mind when he plays…in a way he reminds me of Cesc Fàbregas,” Zola told Football Daily.
