Churches pray for peaceful elections in Kaduna
Churches across Kaduna State on Sunday prayed for peaceful and credible elections in the state.
At the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Service, Barnawa, the association’s pastor, Sunday Joseph, led the congregation in praying for God’s intervention in the 2023 general election.
Also, at Assembly of God Church, Nasarawa Road, Rev. Odom Adiko told the congregation that there was a need for prayers against bloodshed.
He implored church members to engage in a five-minute prayer every day to God for peaceful elections in Kaduna State, declaring: “The elections will be peaceful, we will have the last laugh and there will be no human being.” [lives] Lost.”
In the Church of the Cherubim and Seraphim, in Uruguan Remi, Dr. Moses Manasseh said that members should fast and pray before, during and after the elections, adding that there would be no bloodshed.
He said, “We don’t want any more bloodshed in Kaduna. We want peaceful elections leading to a peaceful change of government.”
In St. John’s Catholic Church, Kakori, Father Josiah Moses asked the members to pray for all the security services, constituents and citizens.
According to him, the security services are always at the forefront of defending citizens, adding that while it is necessary to pray for the security personnel, it is also important to pray for all citizens of the country.
