Comedian Sie Lo apologizes to supporters of Atiku and Peter Opie
Comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, better known as Seyi Law, has apologized to the followers and supporters of the opposition parties he offended during his campaign for the elected president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It comes after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that the all-out Progressive Congress party, APC, had won the presidency in Saturday’s election.
The comedian, who, in a post he made on his Instagram page on Wednesday, expressed his delight at people’s passion for their favorite candidates, stated that Nigerians should not develop bitterness and hatred towards each other.
“Fellow Nigerians, I am glad that you are as passionate as you are about your favorite candidates. This is how politics should be. However, hatred and bitterness towards each other should have no place between us.”
“You may not see things the way I see them. It doesn’t mean I’m right and you’re wrong. It just means we’re different. If your candidates had won, I would have prayed and worked for their and mine to succeed.”
“I apologize to those who missupported me. I strongly condemn all acts of violence across Nigeria. I have mixed feelings about your genuine anger and not the victory of my candidate. However, I pray that life for Nigerians will improve.”
