Continuing Attacks: Establishing Local Security to Restore Peace in Southern Kaduna – Ayuba Ota
Labor senatorial candidate from South Kaduna district senator in next year’s elections, Eng. Michael Ayuba Ota, proposed the creation of a local security structure in southern Kaduna to put an end to the constant attacks that claimed lives and property in the area.
He lamented that despite the continuous attacks in the region for years, no concrete step has been taken by the Federal Government or the Kaduna State Government to end the ugly situation permanently.
Briefing reporters in Kafanchan on Saturday, the Senate candidate said: “It is unfortunate that the killing of human beings has become the norm today without any fear that a human being has any right whatsoever to take another life in southern Kaduna. In the wake of the various attacks on people on Over the years, lives and property of unimaginable proportions have been lost without any serious action by the government today to alleviate the suffering inflicted on innocent people.”
The series of attacks seemed like another conspiracy of silence to keep investors away from the region, and to completely destroy the economic potential that the region is blessed with. There is an urgent need to act in order to stop the ugly situation and to restore the lost glory that South Kaduna is famous for.”
