Countryside Electrification Fund boss, Ohiari resigns to run the Kogi gubernatorial race
Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Fund, Dr. Sanusi Ohyari has resigned from his position to run the Kogi State gubernatorial race under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ohiare made the revelation to the DAILY POST on Tuesday when he selected his nomination form in Abuja.
O’Hari said he resigned on Friday because of his passion to serve his people.
He pledged to improve Kogi’s infrastructure, investment and industrial sectors.
He said, “Let us be that generation that reshaped Kogi to compete positively, through digital innovation, among the States Commission in Nigeria.
Let’s help preserve and build on Governor Yahya Bello’s legacy in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security.
“Let us create the environment conducive to Kogi to attract huge investments as we did in the Rural Electrification Agency.
“Let’s partner with the private sector and welcome them to Kogi, to help us create better paying jobs for our young people.
Let’s make education more affordable and skills acquisition easily available for our youth.
“Let’s partner with the federal government to build an inland port in Lokoja, build rain lines connecting the north, build an airport, rehabilitate more roads and build new ones, and effectively make Kogi the logistics center of this nation.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission has set 11 November 2023 to hold out-of-cycle elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states.
In line with the announcement of the Independent Electoral Commission, the APC said it will hold the party primaries between March 27 and April 17.
