David Mark’s son is buried in Benue

The remains of Tond Mark, son of former Senate President David Mark, are interred.

The body was buried at the family home in Otukpo district, Benue state.

Tond, 51, died on October 21, 2022, in a London hospital after battling cancer for more than a year.

Funeral rites began on November 9, with songs being performed in Abuja.

Tunde’s corpse accompanied family and friends to Otukpo to wake up on November 10.

The burial was attended by Governor Samuel Ortum, Vice President Benson Abuno, Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda and Senator Abba Moreau.

Others include former Kogi Governor Idris Wada, former Senator Suleiman Adokoy and Likan Mustafa, Bishop Michael Apache of the Catholic Diocese of Otokpo and Reverend Innocent Goji, among others.

In his sermon, most Rev. Sylvester Unmonkey tells the family to believe in God because only He can give and take life.

The late Tond is survived by his wife Natsu, daughter Audrey, parents, brothers and sisters.
