Bring Back Our Girls pioneer Aisha Yessoufou wants the new electoral reform to include all major elections being held on the same day in the country.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) holds presidential and National Assembly elections two weeks before the governor’s and state council elections.

But the activist wants the elections to be held in one day.

“More electoral reform is needed,” Aisha wrote on Twitter.

And she added, “The elections for the presidency, governors, the National Assembly, and state councils must be held on the same day.

The impeachment of a legislator must be 50% of the votes he receives and not 50% of the registered voters.

Nigerians in the diaspora must be able to vote and obtaining a Nigerian passport must be among the criteria. Do not tell us that you are a Nigerian in the Republic of Niger and you do not have a passport.”
