Spokesperson for the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, and Campaign Council, PCC, Dino Melaye said there is no backing down in the party’s search for justice following the results of the 2023 presidential election.
Malai, who also served as the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential election classification agent, while compiling the results, accused the head of the Independent National Elections Commission, Professor Mahmud Yaqobu, of rigging the presidential election.
Malai led eight other agents of the party, including the Labor Party, to stage a rally at the National Assembly Centre
He noted that BVAS was not used in different regions during the elections, alleging mass thumbprinting by the APC, in various polling units with the help of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He also lamented the failure of the electoral referee to upload the results to his server since after the elections were held on Saturday.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the leader of the Democratic Progressive Party said that his party must achieve justice, calling on his supporters to remain calm and maintain peace.
“A clear appeal to all Atiku supporters around the world not to be upset. Crying may stay into the night but joy comes in the morning,” he wrote.
“This grave injustice will not stand. The battle to reclaim our stolen mandate is a battle of no retreat, no surrender.”
