English Premier League: His foot is not fast enough – Campbell criticizes the Arsenal star
Former Arsenal player, Kevin Campbell, has slammed the club’s midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Xhaka’s feet aren’t fast enough, Campbell said, adding that the Swiss hook the ball.
Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel (via HITC), Campbell said:
“We’ve seen Xhaka play better with [Thomas] Partey longer, we get that. But at the end of the day, the Xhaka, as an attacking force, was not the same.
“He gets caught with the ball, and his feet aren’t fast enough most of the time.”
He added, “Xhaka is heavier than [Patrick] viera. During this period, this can happen and that’s why you have Vieira there to make the difference.”
Xhaka has scored eight goals for Arsenal so far this season and has appeared in 24 Premier League matches for Mikel Arteta’s side.
