English Premier League: Jamie Carragher criticizes Casemiro, and other Manchester United stars, for his absence against Liverpool

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has slammed three Manchester United players, including Casemiro, for missing out during the embarrassing 7-0 Premier League defeat by Jurgen Klopp on Sunday.

A double from Cody Jacobo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, and a goal from Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool victory over Man United.

Speaking on Gary Neville’s podcast after the match, Carragher said: “The thing that really stood out for me was that there were a lot of players that were spoken to because this team is built around them: centre-backs. [Martinez and Varane]Casemiro up front and Rashford up the pitch.

“Rashford has to score. You have to score that goal. What an opportunity it was, and the game is completely different.

But to see Martinez and Casemiro on the bench [after being subbed off] And Varane does not cover himself in glory.

“I mean, I thought it was a really bad day for them.

“You can play a bad game, but I thought they were lacking, missing a lot of moments.”

The result of the result means that Man United are still in third place in the Premier League table with 49 points from 25 matches.
