Former Real Madrid star Luis Figo expressed his opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from Manchester United.
Figo said that “everyone is happy” after Manchester United and Ronaldo mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
Remember, Man United and Ronaldo mutually agreed to part ways earlier this week.
The decision comes after Ronaldo’s sensational interview with Piers Morgan last week.
“After all the situations that came up, I think it was the decision of both of them. I think the mutual agreement is beneficial for both of them,” Figo told NDTV Sports.
“For himself because he wasn’t playing and for the club that feels the player doesn’t want to stay. Of course he’s a special player and an important player, but at the same time he wasn’t playing, and it wasn’t an option for the coach.”
“He was complaining about the club and the club decided by mutual agreement to separate the fate of the two. Well, it is like that – mutual agreement, everyone is happy.”
When asked where he thinks Ronaldo will go, Figo added: “Well, I don’t know. I think it’s always a personal decision, depending on the goals he has, and the performances to come.”
