La Liga president Javier Tebas has called on the Premier League to sanction Manchester City for alleged breaches of financial regulations.
If City is found guilty of breaking more than 100 rules, they may be subject to a wide range of penalties.
Penalties can be a fine or points deduction for relegation.
The English champions deserved punishment for their alleged actions, Tebas insisted.
“It’s about the reputation and dignity of the Premier League.
“Your global reputation affects your ability to attract sponsorship and sell TV rights,” Tebas told reporters at the Financial Times Business of Football Summit on Wednesday.
