Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has predicted the results of Premier League matches involving Chelsea, Bournemouth, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool against Aston Villa.
Chelsea will play Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday and hopes to return to the Premier League stronger, after suffering in the Premier League before the World Cup break.
The Blues are eighth in the standings, 16 points behind leaders Arsenal and have not won their previous five matches.
Lawrenson believes Chelsea will comfortably beat Cherry on Tuesday. In his column for Paddy Power, he wrote:
“I think this will be a straight win for Chelsea 2-0,” he wrote in Paddy Power.
As for the match between Liverpool and Villa, he said, “I don’t know if Amy Martinez will play for Villa. I’m going 2-0 to Liverpool.”
For Manchester United, he predicted a 2-0 for the home side, saying “I don’t think they suffered any major injuries, so 2-0 against United.
