Arsenal legend Ray Parlor asked the club to replace Gabriel Jesus with Ivan Toni in January.
Before the end of the FIFA World Cup, Jesus was in great shape with Arsenal, and Mikel helped Arteta’s team stay at the top of the Premier League table.
Jesus was injured during training for the ongoing World Cup and had to withdraw from Brazil’s squad with a tournament that ended with a knee injury.
The Brazil international underwent surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be out for up to three months.
And Parlor thinks Brentford’s Evan Toney fits the bill.
“The problem you’ll have in January is who’s available? I always said Ivan Toni. I’ll go and try to get him.
“I think he’s similar to Ian Wright, the way he plays and scores,” Tony said, according to the Metro.
