English Premier League table: Arsenal lead by 7 points, with Manchester City and Newcastle United losing two points each

Arsenal on Saturday night moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table after beating Brighton 4-2.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal victory over Brighton.

Kaoru Mitoma and Evan Ferguson scored for the hosts at Falmer.

The result against Brighton means Mike Arteta’s side lead the Premier League table with 43 points from 16 matches.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Newcastle United fell two points earlier on Saturday.

Man City drew 1-1 with Everton while Newcastle drew 0-0 against Leeds United earlier on Saturday.

The results of both matches mean that Man City and Newcastle United, who sit second and third behind leaders Arsenal, have now dropped two points each.

Coach Pep Guardiola’s team now has 36 points from 16 games, while Newcastle United has 34 points from 17 games.
