Enugu Police Commissioner visits the Eeha Amufu crime scene, vowing to catch the perpetrators

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Ahmed Amani, has ordered the deployment of operational and intelligence resources to Iha Amofo, in the Ise-Ozu Local Government Area of the state.

This development follows the recent attack and burning of a truck and an unspecified number of people in Eha Amofu.

This was revealed on Thursday in a statement signed by DSP Daniel Ndukwe, Public Relations Officer of the State Police.

The Commissioner immediately made an assessment of the incident along with the Nigerian Army’s 82nd Division Garrison Commander, Enugu, Brig. Maj. Gen. Ibrahim, Member of the Knesset.

While agreeing with the families of those who lost their lives in the attacks, Ammani said that the police, with the active support and cooperation of other security agencies, will spare no effort in hunting down the attackers and perpetrators of the attack.

He also used the opportunity to dispel the unconfirmed news that a truck loaded with firearms, ammunition and bandits had been discovered in the area.

Omani dismissed it as baseless, misleading and an act of misinformation capable of creating needless panic in society while urging residents to abide by the law.
