FA Cup: Ten Hag singles out two Manchester United players after their 3-1 win over West Ham

Manchester United manager Eric ten Hag hailed the “dominance” of defender Harry Maguire and Watt Wighurst as they beat West Ham 3-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

United fell behind in front of Said Benrahma’s goal after the end of the first half.

But a Naif Aguird own goal and two late goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Fred sealed the comeback win.

The Red Devils will now face Fulham in the next round.

Ten Hag highlighted Maguire’s performance after the England defender returned to the starting line-up after three matches.

And the Dutchman said after the match: “He controlled the defense, but in attack he had really good moments, good passes and he dealt with the opponents and got the better of them. He played a good game.”

Ten Hag also described Wieghorst as “one of the best players on the pitch”, noting that the Dutch striker had a hand in all three goals.
