Fabregas reveals the biggest regret of his career

Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder, Cesc Fàbregas, has revealed the biggest regret of his career as a footballer.

Fàbregas, who currently plays for Serie B side Como, said his lack of trophies with Arsenal when he was captain of the North London side and also his failure to win the Champions League final with Arsenal in 2006 were his biggest regrets as a professional footballer.

In a podcast for Kammy and Ben’s Proper Football, the Spanish star said, “The biggest regret of my career is not always winning a Champions League final. [in 2006] We were so close.

“The first ever final, or Champions League final that Arsenal played in, I was only 18 and we were very close.

“Also, not lifting the trophy as captain of Arsenal was something that will always be in my heart because I gave so much. I wore myself out a lot.”
