Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez has revealed that Kepa Arrizabalaga tried to play mind games with him before he took the penalty kick to score the second goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Manchester City crushed Chelsea 4-0 on Sunday to secure their place in the next round of the FA Cup.

While Alvarez was preparing to take the penalty kick, after Havertz touched the ball in the Chelsea area, Kepa stood a yard away from the ball and started talking to the Argentine.

Kepa jumped in the right direction to shoot the ball but Alvarez managed to score with his effort.

When asked about Kepa’s words before the penalty, the forward told ESPN, “Goalkeepers always try to do their thing, and it doesn’t bother me at all.

“I’m trying to focus on my work. I had already decided how I was going to shoot and well, it was a goal.”
