Nollywood actor Hanks Anoku has revealed the speculations that have been circulating on social media that he is mentally unstable.
DAILY POST reports that a disturbing gif of the popular film star has gone viral on all social media platforms claiming he was found wandering the streets of Benin in Edo state.
Days after the video appeared online, while debunking the allegation, Shan George said that Anoko was “not crazy” as was widely feared, stressing that he was on a set.
Likewise, the Nigerian Actors Guild President, Emeka Rollas, said on Thursday that the authority is investigating the development.
However, the actor addressed the controversy via a video on Friday, in which he said he was fine, noting that videotapes are doing this to damage his image.
He said, “I just want to tell you that today is November 18th, 2022, and I’m speaking live from my gang. This isn’t an old video, it’s new from the heavens above to the earth below. Find Jesus and leave me alone.”
“Stop writing nonsense about me. If your family has no respect for Nigeria, you better go to Jesus Christ for salvation. Just leave me alone please.
“I was on set and anyone using those photos and videos to try to destroy my image, may the Holy Spirit forgive you.”
