A statement issued by Information Director Mohamed Soli on Friday said the security committee of the CTC met on Thursday.
The government confirmed that appropriate security arrangements were made to maintain a state of law and order.
The commission said that everything possible is being done to check the activities of criminally minded persons.
The meeting discussed kidnappings in the countryside of the region, including the Yaba axis in the Abaji district council.
The committee indicated that the security services took proactive measures to prosecute the perpetrators.
The Directorate of Road Traffic (DRTS) has provided an update on the ban on commercial motorcycles in Abuja.
On November 16, 118 commercial motorcycles were impounded in the Dorome district.
A total of 300 others who were being held in District 1 were also crushed under the bridge, for a total of 418.
The meeting urged the people to cooperate with the security services by volunteering information about the criminals.
