Famous Nollywood actress-turned-politician Funk Akindele on Saturday made her first public appearance following the death of her mother.
The mother of two was arrested on her way to observe her civic duties alongside her crew.
Funky Akindele, who has been on and off social media since her mother’s death, was arrested while observing her civic duties at her polling unit in Lagos alongside her staff.
After sharing the video in a post on her Instagram page, the actress urged Nigerians to come out and exercise their civil rights.
She wrote: “My vote will count. I just voted. God bless Nigeria. God bless us all.”
It is noteworthy that the news of Funke’s mother’s death was announced on February 7 in an official statement posted on Instagram by the sister of actress Olubunmi Akindele.
Since the accident, Funke has not appeared in public.
