Goods worth 11.5 million N were destroyed in a fire in Ilorin

Goods worth 11.5 million Nitro were destroyed in a fire disaster on Monday in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

The fire blaze burned out five container stores out of the 15 container stores located at Lubcon Road Odota Junction, in the city of Ilorin.

The fire incident occurred at around 05:67, according to a statement in Ilorin by government fire service spokesman Hasan Adekunle.

The shops affected by the accident include Beit 9, Booktryat, Al-Nirpet, a catering shop, and a welding shop.

He said that an unknown person quickly summoned firefighters to the scene through a phone call.

Hassan said the quick intervention of firefighters put out the ravaged inferno in time.

The report added that the fire was caused by an overcurrent.

The Kwara State Fire Department’s superintendent, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, has urged the general public and especially shopkeepers to learn to always play safe.
