Gov Ugwuanyi’s indiscriminateness between churches is exceptional – CCN President

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State’s commitment to supporting and recognizing all churches in the state has been described as an exceptional achievement that deserves to be emulated.

Governor Ogwanye was also commended for establishing peace and good governance, as well as providing good leadership to the people of Enugu State.

It was noted by the leadership of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) when they paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ogwaniyi at Government House, Enugu, on Wednesday.

The visit was to inform and formally invite the Governor to the upcoming 31st General Assembly of the CCN and the 93rd Anniversary of the founding of the Council to be held in Enugu.

Speaking, CCN President Most Rev. Dr. Benebo Fubara-Manuel commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his continued support of the churches, stressing that the governor “has always been supportive of CCN member churches.”

The CCN chief revealed that Governor Ugwuanyi made everyone and every church his own, saying, “I’ve been able to talk to people in Enugu State to ask them what church you (Ugwuanyi) belong to. Some said Catholic and some said Anglican. You’re just a member of all churches and that makes us happy.”

And Most Reverend Dr. Fubara Manuel added, “We want to thank you for your good deeds in Enugu State. Good governance for the people of Enugu, peace in the land of Enugu;

Noting that due to the peace and security in Enugu, the state is witnessing an influx of people, the CCN chief prayed to God to expose the outsiders who entered the state to create disorder and undermine the relentless efforts of Governor Ogwanye in securing it. life and property in the state.

Therefore, he commended the Governor for his relentless efforts to maintain peace and security in Enugu State as well as providing massive infrastructure developments in the urban and rural areas of the state such as the first flyover to be constructed by the Enugu State Government.

“Thank you (Ugwuanyi) for developing your infrastructure. We saw the first flyover in this state. We were told that it was built by your administration. Internal roads are being built and development projects are being carried out in many parts of Enugu State, especially in rural areas and Nsukka District. We are grateful For all the work you’ve done.

“We are here to pray with you, too. To pray that God will strengthen you upon the completion of your second term as governor.”

“We are here to pray that your enormous contributions will not be lost; that the administration and administrations that will take over from you will build upon what you have done; that they will do nothing to devour and erase your footprints but will do everything to promote good works and will allow continuity in government for the good of the people of Enugu.”

“We are here to pray with you for continued prosperity in this land,” said the CCN President.

Therefore, the CCN leadership offered a special prayer for Governor Ugwuanyi and implored God to continue to bless, guide, protect and prosper the ruler, and for the peaceful and successful end of his tenure in 2023.
