Governor Abdul Razzaq warns of actions that may threaten the 2023 general elections
The Governor of Kwara State, Abdul Rahman Abdul Razak, has warned the citizens of the state not to direct actions and words that could jeopardize public security and safety or put families at risk as the country approaches the 2023 general elections.
He said, “The new year provides the people of the state with the opportunity to reaffirm their democratic rights in electing leaders who are subject only to citizens and not before any forces or group of influential individuals under any cover.”
In his New Year message issued by the Press Secretary, Raviu Ajakai, in Ilorin on Saturday, the Governor urged people to remain committed in building an inclusive state where public resources work for all and everyone can realize their full potential on the strength of their hard work, talents and God’s grace and not at the expense of political affiliations. .
Governor Abd al-Razzaq congratulated the people of the state at the dawn of the year 2023, asking that the new calendar herald good news and greater things for everyone in the state and Nigeria in general.
The governor said the administration will continue to pursue programmes, policies and projects that deepen opportunities for all, guarantee human dignity, and reaffirm Kwara’s place in the Northern Region and Nigeria as a whole.
