Four former Imo state governors, Ikedi Ohakim police officers were killed on Monday when gunmen ambushed his vehicle.
The gruesome incident occurred in Uruguay in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, on Monday evening, when Ohakim’s convoy was ambushed.
Ohakim, who escaped, attacks his backup car killing the four police officers in his convoy.
He was returning after a visit with two of his children, according to the information provided by our source.
According to a source close to the former governor, the speed of the driver allowed the former governor to escape.
The source claimed that the ex-governor was the main target, but his driver was skilled enough to overpower them as they were driving to block him.
Because their primary target had escaped, they burned his spare car by blocking it. Four officers were burned with him.
