I don’t care if you sign a new contract or not – Ancelotti tells the Real Madrid forward

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti gave a sharp response when asked about Marco Asensio’s future at the club.

Asensio opened the scoring in their 4-0 win over Elche in LaLiga on Wednesday, with Karim Benzema netting a brace and Luka Modric also scoring.

However, the 27-year-old is set to become a free agent when his contract expires this summer.

Asensio has held talks with Los Blancos, but has not yet reached an agreement.

“He looks good to me, I don’t know if he stays or not. He may stay or he may not stay, I don’t know, I don’t care too much. We have a very important challenge this season. The important thing is that he contributes, like last year.

“Let him continue like this, and the club will make the most appropriate decision,” said Ancelotti.
