Igbos in Lagos deny calling for Sanwo-Olu’s resignation
Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State on Thursday denied calling for the resignation of Governor Sanwo-Olu.
The group’s chair, Sunday Osai, issued a rebuttal at a Lagos state thought leaders press conference.
Osai also said that the people of the southeast support Sanwo-Olu’s re-election because he has fulfilled his campaign promises to them.
The Igbo leader declared that any vote outside the All Progressives Congress (APC) on 11 March would be a waste.
“I am Ndigbo’s representative in the state and as their spokesperson,” Nan was quoted as saying.
“I hereby falsify the so-called statement that the Igbo Committee asked Sanwo-Olu to resign.”
