The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State on Tuesday revealed that the results for Jigawa State have been imported into Imo State and transmitted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the iREV portal on Sunday 26 February 2026.
The PDP alleged that the Iemo Independent Electoral Commission replaced the imported results with original results from the other three LGAs, notably Aboh Mbaisi, Oguta and Ehime Mbano, with the PDP winning more than eighty percent of the total votes cast.
The opposition party announced the disclosure in a statement signed by Collins Oberosor, the state publicity minister, made available to DAILY POST in Owerri, Imo state.
The statement reads, “Producing fake results for places where no elections took place was the first stage. Elections did not take place in Ihube, Agbobu, Umuowaibu, Aku, Umulolo, Ogii and Amuro Wards in the Okigwe LGA. However, Senator Ozudenma’s representatives received the electoral materials for the districts from Resident Electoral Commissioner, Imo State, Professor Sylvia Agu.
“Results are finally written in favor of APC. These fake results were accepted and announced by the state Independent Electoral Commission, which is very corrupt, tainted and led by Prof. Ago. In the history of Nigerian elections, the IEC has never treated us so badly!”
The worst happened in three additional Local Government Areas, namely Abu Mbaisi, Ogota and Ehime Mbano, where the DPP won more than 80% of the total votes cast. The results for Jigawa State were brought to Imo State, where the ethical Independent Electoral Commission substituted these for real results from polling stations spread across these three localities. On Sunday, February 26, 2026, Jigawa results were later sent to the iREV portal.
“By the time it got dark on Sunday, February 26, the following voting units in the Aboh Mbaise LGA had been replaced with the results from Jigawa State: Okwu Na Akuwa Community School, Ndigbo Community School, Egbelu Community School, Omumbi Hall, Omonobi Omochi Village Hall, Community Hall Umuorobara, Egbelu Ndiegbo Hall, Umuaghara Hall, Umueke Hall,
At Ehime Mbano LGA, Isi Orie Primary School, Umuopara-Ama Hall, Umuezeala Offor Hall, Obom Umuako Square, Umuezeala-Ama High School, Ukwuegbu Umuaro Hall, Ukwuobu Umuezeala Ogwara C/SUmuagba/Umuoba Hall, Community School, Umuezeala-Ama Umuduru Aro Square 1, Umuduru Aro Square 11 and Isi-Afor Primary School were polling units where Jigawa results were also uploaded and transmitted.
“This same fraud occurred in Oguta LGA. For Orsu, Oru East, and most parts of Orlu LGA where elections were never held, results for Jigawa State were similarly uploaded to INEC’s server, while original results sheets were handed over to Imo APC by INEC for the second phase.” of fraud.In Ngaba LGA an IEC election officer who refused to give in to threats by APC agents to do the same was kidnapped and almost assassinated.So far, the election in Ngaba remains inconclusive
At Ehime Mbano LGA, Isi Orie Primary School, Umuopara-Ama Hall, Umuezeala Offor Hall, Obom Umuako Square, Umuezeala-Ama High School, Ukwuegbu Umuaro Hall, Ukwuobu Umuezeala Ogwara C/SUmuagba/Umuoba Hall, Community School Umuezeala-Ama was Aro Square 1, Umuduru Aro Square 11 and Isi-Afor Primary School polling units where Jigawa results were also uploaded and transmitted.
Oguta LGA was subjected to the same fraud. Results from Jigawa State were similarly uploaded to INEC’s server for Orsu and Oru East, as well as the majority of Orlu LGA, where elections were never held. Their original results sheets were then handed over to Imo APC by INEC For the second stage of fraud.The electoral official of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ngaba LGA refused to comply with the threats made by representatives of the APC to do the same and was kidnapped and almost assassinated.So far, the elections in Ngaba remain inconclusive.
By the late hours of Wednesday, the writing and rewriting of results from Imo polling units had been completed by APC agents, and accepted by the Independent National Electoral Commission. That was when Imo’s INEC began covering their tracks, unaware that the Internet’s and many Other damning evidence of the criminal subversion of the will of the Imo people and the bizarre importation of bizarre results into Imo were already at our disposal.By Thursday, March 2nd, INEC began pulling Jigawa State results previously uploaded to the iREV as Imo results.In some cases, the results were uploaded Results typed correctly into Douglas House as a replacement for previous results from Jigawa.In other cases, no results were loaded at all.

APC agents finished drafting and rewriting the results from Imo voting units by Wednesday night, and INEC accepted them. At that point, INEC in Imo began hiding its tracks, not realizing that we already had plenty of hard evidence of The criminal subversion of the will of the Imo people and the strange import of foreign results into Imo, including Internet traces and many other rich evidence documents.Then on March 2nd, INEC began downloading Jigawa State results previously placed on iREV as Imo results.In some cases, they were Post results generated directly at Douglas House instead of Jigawa results.Other times, no results are published at all.
“There were no elections in approximately 88 polling stations for the Mbaitoli LGA, while there were no elections in two (2) Owerri West and three (3) polling stations in Owerri municipality. This indicates that there has never been an election in Owerri District for Senate, with the total number of PVCs collected estimated to be around 41,339 (41, 339). However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) went ahead and broke the explicit rules of election law by declaring someone an elected senator despite the fact that the lead between winner and runner-up was less than 13,000 votes. This is ridiculous.
The Imo PDP unequivocally declares that INEC in Imo, chaired by Professor Sylvia Agu, is now completely and irreparably unsuitable to continue to act as arbitrator for further elections in the state in light of such strong evidence of corruption, crime and overt manipulation of the electoral process.
“Unfortunately, the Independent Electoral Commission led by Professor Agu in Imo State has identified itself as the Imo APC election rigging device. Professor Agu has pursued this smear campaign in ways that are particularly damaging to democracy and could spark social unrest, chaos or even war in Imo State.
According to the Imo PDP, “Running in any election in Imo under this politicized and corrupt Independent Electoral Commission and expecting the process to be free, fair and transparent is nothing more than a mirage.
“Our party has already received reliable information that the Imo Independent Electoral Commission has sent the results sheets for the state assembly elections on Saturday to the Imo State Government Headquarters, where APC agents and INC officials write the results and declare the APC candidates as the winners of the elections.” that didn’t do that after it happened.
Hence, the Imo PDP requests that Professor Silvia Agwu be removed immediately from her position as Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Imo State. All residents of Imo State must work together to preserve our democracy, and Professor Agwu’s continued presence in the state is extremely counterproductive to this objective. Imo State needs to be removed immediately!
“Furthermore, in order to act as a deterrent to other INEC employees, our party calls on the appropriate security services to detain and prosecute Professor Agu in accordance with the requirements of the election law.”
