Insecurity in Zamfara: NSCDC establishes Kagara outpost

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has commissioned an outpost station at Kagara District Development Council in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state in order to combat insecurity and vandalism.

The outpost was a mental work of the Kagara District Chief and commissioned by the Head of Command Deputy Chief of Administration, Mr. Ibrahim Yaqub Dauda, who represented the Head of State, Muhammad Bello Ma’zu.

In his speech, the commander saw that the establishment of the outpost was a product of necessity, given the vulnerability of the Kagara Region Development Council and its environs to insecurity and severance.

“The NSCDC saw fit to be closer to the civilian population in order to combat crime and vandalism at the grassroots level,” he said.

He urged members of the Kagara community to provide all necessary support to the Legion to enable it to better serve them.

The Garkuwa Kagara, Alh. Aliyu Mohamed, speaking on behalf of the Kajara District Chief, emphasized that the community is overwhelmed with joy to see their dreams come true.

In his words, for a very long time the community longed for civil defense personnel to be present in their area.

Aliyu reiterated the determination and willingness of the community members to provide maximum support to the Corps in order to ensure their smooth conduct.

“For this purpose, the community has donated a plot of land where, through community efforts, the permanent edifice of the Corps will be erected,” said the district chief.
