The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) allegedly kidnapped a member of the army.

The prisoner, known as OSF Ibrahim, is a designation for the Nigerian Navy, according to PRNigeria.

The accident occurred late Sunday along a road in Anambra state.

Ibrahim was returning to Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, after visiting his sick mother.

Serves as a Navy SEAL at the Nigerian Navy Primary School in Burukiri.

A military source said Ibrahim had been given permission to see his sick mother.

The vehicle was intercepted by members of the IPOB/ESN.

“They (the passengers) were interrogated and their baggage was searched.”

The officer revealed that Ibrahim’s bag contained new camouflage and a pair of boots.

His phone was also checked and pictures of him in military uniform were seen.

The car was flagged after the trip delay malfunction was fixed.

A Navy spokesman, Commodore Addedton Ayo Vaughan, confirmed that the military arm had begun searching for Ibrahim.

The process is done in cooperation with the Department of State Services (DSS).

The IPOB sit-in house system is still observed every Monday in many areas across the Southeast region.

Most of these places are deserted as of Sunday night, while those who remain remain indoors.
