Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze scored his first league goal of the season as Villarreal beat Valencia 2-1 at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Saturday night.
Chukwueze had previously scored five goals for Yellow Submarine in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season.
Uruguay striker Edison Cavani opened the scoring for Valencia in the 21st minute.
Chukwueze equalized for the home team, 45 minutes ahead.
He was substituted for Jose Luis Morales 18 minutes before time.
Argentina defender Juan Foyth scored the winning goal for Villarreal two minutes before the end.
