Leave Peter Obi, face your job running Anambra – a southeast group that deals with Soludo

The South East Revival Group (SERG) said Anambra State Governor Professor Charles Chukuma Solodo had “proved he has lost the understanding of priorities,” urging him to “take Anambra State first to the Dubai status he has been promising people during all his campaigns since he He left his post as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.”

Serge was responding to comments attributed to Governor Solodu, who attacked Peter Obi, saying the Labor presidential candidate could not win in 2023.

In a statement issued by its Chair and National Coordinator, President Willy Ezogu, and sent to the DAILY POST on Tuesday, SERG noted that “this is not the first time that predictions about Peter Obi’s election victory have come and gone.”

According to the Southeast group: “It was known in Anambra State during the run-up to the 2010 gubernatorial election that the popular prediction was that Professor Solodo, as the gubernatorial candidate from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), would defeat Peter Obi of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

In fact, most of the prominent people in Anambra predicted that Peter Obi would not win a second term even before the gubernatorial primary.

But on February 7, 2010, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Peter Obi the winner of the 2010 Anambra State gubernatorial election, defeating his former University of Nsukka (UNN) colleague Professor Charles Chukuma Solodo.

“Therefore, Governor Solodo knows that his predictions against Peter Obi never came true, not even predicting that he would win the elections in 2010,” the group stated, which advised Governor Solodo to “face his job running Anambra State and make sure he fulfilled his campaign promises.”

The group further noted: “So far, Soludo has not been able to solve a single major problem for Anambra State since he took office. In fact, his administration has turned Anambra into one of the most insecure states in Nigeria, according to recent security incidents, including ongoing attacks.” On Solodo’s hometown.”

While the group attributed the rise in violence in the state to his mismanagement of security, the group attributed his revolt against Peter Opie to outright jealousy.

The group further believes: “The Governor of Anambra State has been hired by the opposition to do some of the political dirty work from Peter Obi’s home state in their efforts to crack the solidarity and support the Labor Party presidential candidate enjoyed in the entire Southeast.”

“Peter Obi is running for President of Nigeria, not Igbo Chief. So to measure Peter Obi’s presidential victory in terms of Igbo votes is like Governor Solodo [did] is the most short-sighted political calculation,” SERG maintained.

The group reminded Governor Solodu of the need for him to confront issues of governance, especially insecurity, as the people will decide their fate in the upcoming elections for the position of Governor of Anambra State based on the four-year scorecard.
