“Since the beginning of the Fourth Republic, Enugu has remained the hope of the PDP. We have carried the banner of the PDP with pride and we are ready to continue to do so.
“The rally is to renew the mandate of our great party,” Mbah added, stressing that it was made possible because of the people’s trust in those who led the country from the Democratic Progressive Party.
He appreciated the support of the G-5 rulers in demonstrating leadership and fortitude in the pursuit of justice, fairness and fairness in the party.
Governor Ogwanye also earlier expressed his appreciation to the people of the state for the support shown by the PDP since 1999 and hoped that they would repeat the same in 2023 for all of the party’s candidates.
In their various remarks, Governors Makinde, Ortom and Weki commended the people for the support they have shown Ogoni and the PDP and tasked them with ensuring that on election day their wards and polling units were handed over to the party.
Wake had described Ogwanye as “a good man who is brave and reliable and you can go to war with your eyes closed”, stressing that the group would remain supportive of all his activities and would extend to the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
At the event, a coalition of 12 registered political parties endorsed Mbah and other PDP candidates in the 2023 elections, saying they were motivated by good governance pushed by Ogwani in the state.
