My government will be fair Tinubu makes three strong promises
President-elect, Bola Tinubu, pledged on Thursday that his government will abide by the rule of law, justice and fairness when he takes over the reins of government.
Tinubu spoke in Abuja when he greeted members of the National Action Committee led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who were on a congratulatory visit to his residence in Abuja.
The former governor of Lagos State said, “It will be a fair government guided by the rule of law, justice and fairness. It will be hard work from day one.”
“We will join hands in building a government of the people and by the people.”
He added, “We have drawn a strong commitment with Nigerians. From primary, we have been transparent. We have been committed to our ideals.
“We promised Nigerians that if we win, we will work for all Nigerians.”
I am committed to uniting the country. Certainly, in any competition, especially democratic ones, there must be losers and winners.
The Daily Mail reported that Tinubu was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election on Wednesday morning.
He defeated former Lagos state governor Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labor Party and Rabio Kwankwaso of the National Progressive Party, among others.
