Naira Redesign, APC Policy Spoilers, PDP Collaborators – Rifai
Kaduna State Governor Nasir Al-Rifai has accused the central bank governor, Godwin Emifiele, of colluding with the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to help them win the 2023 general elections.
Al-Rifai’s response on Friday came after the Supreme Court’s decision, which overturned the federal government’s policy of redesigning the naira.
The Kaduna state governor said Imphile had deceived the president and given him false information.
He also said that the people behind the naira redesign policy were those who wanted to run for president in his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, but were unable to make it happen.
“First, let me say that this was PDP policy. Emefiele was appointed CBN governor by the PDP, originally. So let’s not forget where he came from. They are the ones who cooked this policy together to help the PDP win the 2023 general election, and fool the president To think it possible to withdraw trillions of naira in circulation and reprint the whole thing within three months. No country in the history of the world has done that.
He deceived the president and gave the president false information. Unfortunately, the Attorney General supported this policy, and we know the reason. Go look at their predecessors, these are the people who wanted to run for president in our party but didn’t. “This is their plan for revenge,” Al-Rifai said.
