US winger Christian Pulisic provided an update on his injury ahead of his side’s FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match against the Netherlands on Saturday night.
Pulisic confirmed that he did not suffer a testicular injury during the United States’ match against Iran.
The Chelsea star said he suffered a blow to his pelvic bone.
It was very painful,” Pulisic said (via the Guardian). [pelvic] Bone exists for a reason to protect you; I hit it well, it hurt, but it’s getting better.
“[I] Not hit in the balls. I’m good.”
He added, “I will now go to meet the team’s medical staff and make a decision about it [training] Today, just kind of look at how I feel, I take it day by day, at the moment, I’m doing everything I can to be able to be out there on the field on Saturday.”
