NPFL: Ayeni is tasking Akwa United players with keeping their pace high in the second stanza

Akwa United coach Diye Aene has urged his players to maintain their high level when matches in the Nigerian Premier League resume later this month.

The Promise Keepers, looking to win a second NPFL title, put in a good showing in the first half of the campaign.

Eni currently occupies the third place in the Group A table.

The former Sunshine Stars player posited in a conversation with the DAILY POST that it is important for his players to keep their feet on the ground to achieve their goal.

“We need to keep up the pace at which we started the season to achieve the goal we set for ourselves,” Eini stated.

“We are looking forward to the start of the second segment and hope to maintain the same momentum.”

Akwa United will face Shooting Stars Football Club in Ibadan in their first match of the second quarter on 26 March.
