Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has alleged that Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign Council Director General, Dwayne Okobi, is fighting over the offense he committed while working for a presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party. PDP party.
It is reported that the Federal High Court, convened in Abuja on Monday, sentenced Okobi to two years in prison for violating the money laundering law.
Soon after the verdict, Okupe was trending on all social media platforms, especially Twitter as users expressed divergent views on the matter.
In response, Sam, a columnist for Arise TV, said the Labor DG campaign had been trending on Twitter for offenses he had committed while working for a presidential candidate from the main opposition party, saying PDP members who spread the news were only making fun of themselves.
A tweet on his Twitter account reads, “Doyin Okupe is heading for a ‘crime’ he committed while working on a PDP presidential campaign and PDP members happily spread the news.
“Hmmm irony. You are actually making fun of yourself. You are endorsing Buhari’s attack on you after the 2015 elections for being a corrupt party.”
