Osun Bole: The government orders the suspension of the new fee system

The new school fee system approved by the Board of Directors of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has been suspended by the Osun State Government.

The management of the Polytechnic also announced its willingness to comply with the directive.

The new school fee system was originally intended for newly admitted students at all levels in the institution.

A statement signed by AO Okediya, the University’s trustee announcing the Polytechnic’s readiness to comply with the directive stated that the suspension directive only affected ND I and HND I students.

According to him: “As per the directives of the State Government, the new fee regime approved by the Eighth Board of the Institution for newly admitted students for the 2022/2023 academic session, is pending further directives from the State Government.

“Please note that this guidance only affects ND I and HND I students, other categories of students are expected to continue with their payments and enrollment as expected.”

The state governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday during an inspection tour of some schools and healthcare centers in the state, lamented the poor condition of the facilities.

Adeleke also promised, during his 100 days in office, to transform education sectors in line with his campaign promises and the state’s Five Point Action Plan.
