Adebayo Adelabo, who is a candidate for Governor of Oyo State in the 2023 general election in Oyo State, said his intention was to maintain the policies of the former governor of the state, the late Abiola Agemobe.
Adelabu made the revelation over the weekend while speaking at a town council meeting organized by a radio station in Ibadan, which was spotted by DAILY POST.
The DAILY POST states that Agembe who died in 2020 was the governor of the state between 2011 and 2019.
However, the former Deputy Governor (Operations) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed that he intends to maintain all the good policies of Ajimbe.
He said this was necessary to get the country back on the right track.
While speaking further, Adlabo insisted that the country deserved to have a responsible and responsive leader.
He explained that the state needs a leader who has the ability and ability to properly lead the state.
He added that one of the main areas that requires urgent attention in the country is environmental sanitation.
He explained that there is a need for reinstatement of health inspectors and weekly and monthly sanitation exercises in the state markets to limit the spread of diseases.
“I would like to assure you that every good policy of the immediate previous government under the administration of the late Governor Abiola Agemobe will continue.
“This is important to get the country back on the right track and ensure rapid development in all sectors across the country.”
