PDP Crisis: Wike interviewed five times without resolution – Atiku

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar said on Sunday that he had met with Rivers State Governor Nisom Weik five times in Abuja, Port Harcourt and London.

Speaking at The People’s Townhall meeting, Atiku said the meeting was aimed at resolving the crisis within the PDP.

However, he indicated that there was no way forward for the meeting.

According to Atiku: “I have personally met Wyke twice in Port Harcourt, twice in Abuja, and once in London. He is not on my side; he is on the other side. I am waiting for him.”

Wake is upset with the PDP leaders after losing during the party’s presidential primaries.

The governor was initially upset that Atiku had pitched him for the governorship of Delta State of Afifi Okowa as his running mate.

Integrity group G-5 Wike and his group also called for the resignation of Eurechia Ayo as the party’s national chair.

They pointed out that the North should not single out the party’s flag bearer and the party’s national president.

Wake and his group demanded that the post of national chief be allocated to the southern part of the country.
