Peter Obi, the Labor Party presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election, shed tears live on Thursday while addressing the press for the first time after losing the presidential election to All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu.
Obi sheds tears while talking about meeting a young lady from Nasarawa, who finished college in 2018 and couldn’t get a job anywhere and only had N75,000 to buy an oven to start her bakery business.
Recounting live, Obi said, “One thing about me is that I always want to know what the young people want. I went somewhere with my boss (Chairman of the Labor Party) this afternoon and I needed to boil water for tea. I wanted to do it but she I volunteered to do so.
She told me, “All the way through, I asked her name. She said she was from Nasarawa and graduated from Nasarawa State University. About her school, [she] She said she studied at Nasarawa. She said that she finished her studies in 2018 and does not have a job. I asked her what she was doing here and she said she wanted bread.
