Peter Obi: Over 2,000 offloads of PDP, APC, et al for LP in South Borno

At least 2,000 men and women deserted their various parties and joined Peter Obi’s Labor Party in central Borno.

Dissenters from various political parties including the HDP, PDP, All Progressives Congress, APC, Zenith Workers Party, ZLP, and others gathered in the Pew Local Government Area to denounce their parties and embrace the obedience movement.

Most of the defectors come from Southern Borno towns and local governments including Askera Oba, Gwoza, Chibok, Damboa, Try, Kwaya and Chani.

They announced the Labor Party and also showed eagerness to join the exco party at the town council meeting tagged Biu Summit organized by Isaac Palami, Leader of the Labor Party and Deputy National Campaign Director, Obi/Datti Campaign Council.

Addressing dissenters and party loyalists, Palamy who was welcomed by thousands of party supporters in his home town of Pew, was greeted by the men and women of the Labor Party, charging them with going all out to ensure Peter Opp’s victory.

Some of the dissidents told reporters that they are tired of the HDP and GPC governments and that they are ready to try another party that would affect their lives and the lives of their children.

They also rejected on the whole the APC and PDP’s methods of buying their votes with Maggi and salt cubes.

Peter Obi and Paula Tinubu of the ruling General People’s Congress party and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party are the main contenders in the election.

Although Atiku continued to boast that he would sweep the majority of votes in the North, analysts showed that the Big Three candidates would put up a tough fight in the district.
