Police agents, in a joint effort with the Ekrerhavwe Community Vigilante in Agbarho, North Ughelli Local Government Area in Delta State, have arrested a suspected robber/cultist, Kingsley Vejeta who has been terrorizing the community of Ekrerhavwe and environs in Delta State.
Other members of the gang fled the crime scene.
The police also recovered seven homemade rifles and four (4) live bullets from the suspect’s hideout.
The Daily Post has learned that the suspect was arrested after police led by DSP Habu Haman stormed their hideout based on a reliable tip.
The Delta State Police Command confirmed the report in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer DSP Bright Edafe.
Edavi said, “During the interrogation and interrogation of the suspect, he made a useful statement and at about 0230 hrs, led the police to the hideout of his other gang members at Ikrahavoy, Agbarho in Ugeli north of the LGA where upon seeing the police, they took to their heels.”
“The hunt for other fleeing suspects continues,” he added.
