Premier League: Good idea – Chelsea legend advised Boyle to replace Potter with Zidane
Chelsea legend, Frank LeBeouf, has suggested that it would be good for the Blues, under Todd Bohle, to replace current coach Graham Potter with former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane.
Chelsea are currently going through a dismal run of form with no win in their last five matches and they have won only two of their last 15 matches.
Potter’s men suffered a devastating 1-0 defeat at bottom club Southampton in their last Premier League game on Saturday.
Calls for Potter’s sacking have gained strength in the past few hours, but Leboeuf believes Zidane would be the ideal candidate to replace Potter at Stamford Bridge.
When asked if Zidane would accept Chelsea’s call, Leboeuf told ESPN: “I don’t know, but it would be a very good idea, I would be very happy.
I never asked him if he wanted to come to England. I asked him if he didn’t speak English, but he answered in English. So, you know, he speaks a little English.
“Yes, he could be in charge of Chelsea, and I would be very happy about that.”
Zidane, who has been out of managerial positions since 2021, recently revealed his desire to return to management this year.
